From Pokemon, Pikachu and Raichu Halloween costume do it yourself, homemade costumes!

Pikachu - Yellow polo shirt and felt hat and felt tail (tail made with cardboard and glue) hat made by attaching two yellow horns (plus black) on the tips. She's wearing black leggings/pants but you can also wear yellow pants or leggings.

Raichu Riachu: Orange polo, black pants, brown hat with horns.

Here's another easy costume for a girl, all blue outfit (in this case dress with blue hoodie) and good hair, blue shoes even.

Not Pokemon, but another great video game halloween costume, it's LINK from ZELDA!

I'd look through what you already have in your kid's clothing, then either borrow the rest of what you need or head to Value Village, Goodwill, St. Vincent dePaul, or wherever you can get some inexpensive clothes.

What you'll need
Brown boots, green outfit, white leggings, Homemade shield, plastic toy sword, elf eas, and matching green hat and you're set!

***Note: You may not be able to take the sword to school due to some of the "weapons" rules they have, so check with your child's teacher. Maybe you could make a paper sword if needed.

Do it yourself Ash Ketchum & Mudkip costumes for Halloween. It seems much of Mudkip could be done with felt, fabric, glue and a headband!

This was a homemade costume (looks as if ti was sewn) and well, sewing machines are past my skill as a creative person, so I was thinking about how you could put this cute costume together for the bulbasaur in your life. (though this costume looks cozy!)

Okay, long sleeve green shirt and light blue fleece vest and hat. On the fleece hat, sew, glue, or safety pin little spots on it. Get a green backpack or green pillowcase & pillow and pin, sew, or strap it on to blue vest (that will make the bulb in the back).

This cutie added green mardi gras plastic beads to spice things up. You can paint your face or not.

There it is, a do-it-yourself, easy bulbasaur costume for the little pokemon in your life.

Put on a white dress and glue, sew, or safety pin on shapes from Togepi (blue and red triangles). A boy could just do the same but wear white pants and shirts.

PUt on a cute pointy white hat you can make this from white napkins by tucking them around sailor hat.

what a great way to get all the family members involved.

Here we have the parents as Team Rocket (Jesse & James), and Ash the trainer and the youngest one as Pikachu!

For the parents costumes, white shirt and pants (or skirt) with a RED R on the front, these cool parents even dyed their hair purple and RED!

Mom in black boots and black tights.

Ash is the easy costume of jeans, a vest, a baseball cap.

For pikachu, all yellow, red cheeks, and yellow felt ears. You are done!

Very easy to do Halloween costume for kids: Dawn the Trainer.

Just get some boots, a skirt, a black top (you can cut it up to add some flair as this little one did), a red scarf, a warm pink hat adn carry your favorite Pokemon toy (Piplup in this case) and Pokeball around with you!

Charamander costume is much harder (or just buy it!) than the Ash Ketcham costume which anyone can do with a blue shirt, cap, and jeans. Just throw a pokeball!

What you need-- green cardigan, grey shirt, jeans, a Pokeball, tennis shoes and make a patch (out of fabric or paper) to put on your cardigan.

Extra points if you wear a baseball cap.

EASY! And you're set. (I think this guy even has a Pokeball belt! You could make that too!) Just carry a little Pikachu around wiht you and there you go!

How to be a Pokemon Card for Halloween (Pokemon Card Costume photo)

This is the Gengar card, but your child could be any of his favorite Pokemon by getting poster board and two straps to hold them together (sort of like those old sandwich board ads people would wear).

Draw your favorite pokemon in hte middle include points, the name of the pokemon and fighting techniques. It can be as detailed or not as your child likes.

Attach the front and back of card with straps as in the photo and you're set!
