Herman Cain & The Pokemon Connection

Who knew Herman Cain liked Pokemon so much?

Today when he put his campaign for presidency on hold he said--

“I believe these words came from the Pokemon movie,” Cain said. “Life can be a challenge. Life can seem impossible. It’s never easy when there’s so much on the line. But you and I can make a difference. There’s a mission just for you and me.”

He continued: “Just look inside and you will find just what you can do.”

But he's also said it before and I love how it's attributed to "a poet" -- See below...

In his closing statement during last night's Republican Primary debate, Cain got all deep and insprational:
"A poet once said, 'Life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it's never easy when there's so much on the line."
As it turns out, those lyrics aren't the words of any old poet; they are the words of the immortal Donna Summer. More specifically, they're lyrics from Summer's song "The Power of One", also known as the theme song from Pokémon: The Movie 2000, according to a Cain lyrics investigation byNew York Magazine.

Gotta catch 'em all!  Pokemon!
